Position: PROGRAM ASSISTANT for HOLISTIC COLLEGE & SUCCESS CENTER   

Division: Academic Affairs Department:Success Center, Holistic College   

Reports to:Director, Success Center & Holistic College    

  

   

Position Summary:  

  

The Success Center Program Assistant (PA) will be responsible for administrative support of the Director of the Success Center & Holistic College as well as all departments in the Success Center. Duties will include maintaining all records, documents/forms resident in the Success Center-Holistic College admin office; support of various programming offered in the Success Center; major support of Power Week and the scheduling process for new freshmen. The PA will also serve as the Spring Learning Community advisor and College Skills instructor.    

  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:   

  

In addition to administratively supporting the Director of the Holistic College & Success Center, specific PA responsibilities will include: supporting the development and implementation of all programming related to the Holistic College including Power Week, Holistic Individualized Success Plans, serving as the advisor for the spring Learning Community, and scheduling of all new freshmen. The PA will be responsible for maintaining an efficient office & storage spaces, maintaining supplies & equipment for the Success Center, handling requisitions, maintaining records disseminating from the Success Center, assisting students with questions and solutions, backing up the Director of the Retention Management Office.    

  

Education/ Experience:  

  

•Bachelor’s Degree   

•Experience in higher education in areas such as counseling, teaching and student support services is preferred.   

•Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, Excel & PowerPoint.   

•Committed to working with under prepared college students.   

•Must speak Standard English and have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
