Position Summary


The Administrative Assistant interacts with College personnel and exercises independent judgment regarding matters relating to the Division of Mathematics and Science. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Division office. The Administrative Assistant will support the Dean and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication and will be responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • assisting with research projects
  • maintaining and developing databases
  • providing email and telephone coverage
  • preparing written correspondence
  • assisting in the organization, assembly, and publishing of Division materials
  • assisting with preparation of handouts and presentations
  • performing administrative duties such as filing, faxing and photocopying
  • provide direct support to the Dean
  • assisting with calendaring and scheduling efforts
  • assisting with communication and marketing efforts
  • assisting with quality assurance efforts
  • Other essential tasks as assigned
  • Education/ Experience


    What you will need to be successful!

    • At least two years of office experience or comparable work experience.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom.
  • Skill with internet search engines for assisting with research efforts            
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills especially on the telephone and via email / writing
