Post-doctoral Research position in Regenerative Medicine

Regular Full-time, Pay Grade 00

Post-doctoral research position in the Regenerative Medicine Laboratory in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine in the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture at the University of Tennessee Knoxville.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities of the postdoc are to manage and support work associated with research in the Regenerative Medicine Laboratory. These responsibilities include: generation of reports to be submitted to funding agencies; assisting graduate students in the performance of their research; advising and mentoring students working in the laboratories; assisting in the creation, submission, revision, and amendments of animal care and use protocols; assisting students in the construction of manuscripts resulting from their research; facilitating diagnostic and analytical tests done within the lab and associated with other labs on and off campus in support of the regenerative medicine laboratory program. Additional duties include writing grants and performing research of interest to the post-doctoral research scientist. Reporting: The immediate supervisor of the postdoc for day-to-day activities is the faculty responsible for management of the regenerative medicine laboratory, Dr. Madhu Dhar. Funding: The post-doctoral research position will be reviewed on an annual basis. Continuation of the post-doc is dependent on availability of sufficient funding for this position.
