Job Summary: The Coordinator of Student Financial Aid, Customer Service and Training provides leadership and direction in all aspects of front line of customer service in the area Financial Aid, and is responsible for understanding and carrying out the federal regulations regarding Title IV in Student Financial Aid.

Additional Department Summary: Position is responsible for all aspects of front line of customer service in the area Financial Aid. This includes but not limited to, calls, emails, and in-person visits of prospective and current students and parents. Responsible for understanding and carrying out the federal regulations regarding Title IV in Student Financial Aid. Supervision of between 25-30 Graduate Assistants throughout the year. This population of employee provides unique challenges as it is always changing as graduate students graduate, take jobs, receive assistantship in their academic department, etc. This position is responsible for determining eligibility for need based Federal Work Study, the hiring and training of Graduate Assistants to support Student Financial Aid. This position will be available to answer any questions posed by parents, prospective students as well as current students. Graduate Assistants are the first contact many students and parents have with Student Financial Aid and frequently the University. They provide first response advising to thousands of calls each month. It is imperative the graduate students receive appropriate training and guidance so they can ensure a positive experience for current and prospective students.

Position is also expected to provide financial aid training in order to provide exemplary customer service as well as helping to ensure standards in each area are upheld. Serves as trainer on federal regulations, any changes to those regulations, and provides training and guidance on providing exemplary customer service to the populations served by office of financial aid. Ensures that compliance with federal regulation is followed to maintain the security of student and parent information.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in student financial aid, admissions, and/or student services.
