  • Position Description:

    The Assistant Director of FinancialAid at the Health Science Campus (HSC) contributes to the fulfillment of the University’smission and vision by monitoring and ensuring institutional compliance with federal,state, local, and institutional regulations, guidelines, and policies relatedto student financial aid administration.  The Assistant Director provides quality service and information regardingthe full spectrum of student financial aid resources to students, their families,University academic and business offices, and outside agencies.  The Assistant Director’s responsibilities include counseling, financial literacy, presentations, and websiteand forms maintenance.  The AssistantDirector serves on the College of Medicine Scholarship Committee andcollaborates with various colleges, departments, and external constituents toprovide financial education.  Thisposition requires strong leadership, professionalism, and communication skillsto manage medical loan programs, verification, and resolving various issueswhile serving students, faculty, and staff.


    Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
    5 or more years in financial aid or a related field required; experience with medical school or graduate and professional level students preferred
    Requires extensive knowledge and understanding of federal regulations regarding student aid eligibility and processing
    Advanced computer knowledge and accounting experience desired
    Communication and other skills:
