  • Position Description:

    The Assistant Director of RegionalEnrollment serves as the primary strategist and staff supervisor for UToledo’sregional recruitment initiatives. They will supervise a team of RegionalEnrollment Managers and manage their own recruitment territory. They driveenrollment by providing admission and financial aid counseling, as well as courseadvising, to traditional and non-traditional (both international and domestic)students transitioning to The University of Toledo.  This position provides students with accurateand timely information about the admission and enrollment processes, institutionalpolicies, academic programs, and support resources; assist students inselecting majors and planning educational strategies that are consistent withtheir interests, abilities, and goals; and build/maintain effective relationshipswith key personnel and prospective students.  Academic advising, admissions counseling, promotion of the University,and building external relationships are all significant functions of thisposition. This position will work autonomously to develop relationships withkey partners and manage the enrollment of new students. This position willmanage one or more recruitment officers.  This position will serve on the Admissions Leadership Team and serve asthe primary advocate, trainer, supervisor, and strategist for the RegionalEnrollment team. They will contribute to the regional strategic planningefforts including messaging to prospective students and other influencers andwill perform special duties as assigned. This position may be located outsideof Northwest Ohio.   

    Qualifications:

      Bachelor's degree required, preferably in the area of Sales, Marketing, Communication, or related field. Minimum of three to five years experience in college admissions or recruiting required.Strong cross-cultural and interpersonal communication, writing, and public speaking skills are necessary.   Ability to present the University in a positive way to diverse populations through strong, student-centered enrollment strategies.  Person must demonstrate commitment to being student- and consumer-centered, with a willingness to help them achieve their educational goals.  Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.  This position requires the ability to travel to remote locations and to load and transport admissions materials, displays and other equipment. Regular evening and weekend hours required.  Development and implementation of strategic plans relating to higher education and enrollment initiatives preferred.Familiarity with and use of strategic data analysis tools such as ACT AIM, ACT EIS, College Board EPS, etc. is preferred.Understanding and workings of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems preferred.
     

    Preferred: 

      Minimum one year experience in supervision.Minimum one year of work experience at a community college. Previous experience working directly with transfer and adult learners.  Basic familiarity with e-mail systems, Transferology®, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software tools.

    Working Conditions:Works in a professional office environment with possible high stress levels. Incumbent required to travel, including overnight travel. May be required to lift up to 50lbs.
