General Description of the Job Class

Provide overall administrative management and coordination of a variety of business and operational related functions such as managing staff, finance, budget, personnel, maintenance and policy interpretation and dissemination.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Manage a team of 19 Image Library staff members and insure appropriate coverage 24/7; oversee training; hiring, performance reviews. Radiology Image Library is responsible for the transfer of all DUHS Radiology Images to and from DUHS. Collaborate with HIM to insure compliance with HIM ROI policy and refresher training for all employees annually and all new employees.

Manager is the point of contact for all Outside Hospitals and Practices wishing to transfer images to and from DUHS. Incumbent will work with Image Transfer Software vendor representative to establish connections with outside facilities wishing to have image transfers with DUHS.

Incumbent will oversee Payroll function for DUH Imaging Services with 1 Certified Payroll Representative direct report.

Manage patient care supplies receipt & deliveries for all DUH Radiology off site locations, including Ambulatory Radiology. Maintain schedule and procedures. This function has 2 direct reporting staff, 1 Program Specialist and 1 Inventory Control Associate II.

Serve as divisional liaison with administrative and professional personnel concerning University policies and procedures, personnel administration, budgetary preparation and control. Supervise and coordinate work of designated employees; manage personnel activities to meet University and divisional objectives in training, equal pay, equal employment and wage and salary administration; advise on employment terms of faculty and administration of appointment procedures.

Represent DUH Director, Radiology Operations in meetings and conferences and other affairs of an administrative nature.

Coordinate the preparation of reports and analyses to include financial reports, setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education:

Work requires a general business background generally equivalent to a bachelors degree in a business-related field.

Experience:

Work requires 6 years of related business or administrative experience to acquire competence in applying general personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of major administrative functions. 2-3 years of supervisory experience is highly preferred.

A master's degree in a related field, such as business or health administration, may be substituted for experience on a 1:1 basis.
