UNC Lineberger’s Cellular Therapy and Bone Marrow Transplant POD is a centralized resource that supports the clinical research efforts of Lineberger investigators, primarily through the design and conduct of therapeutic clinical trials. The POD provides administrative. regulatory, data management, and study coordination services to investigators throughout the development, approval and implementation processes of protocols conducted at UNC and its affiliate institutions. The POD is responsible for protecting the safety of patients participating in research, ensuring the quality of the research, and safeguarding the interests of the University. The Data Coordinator is responsible for research-related activities conducted by the UNC Cellular Therapy and Bone Marrow Transplant POD. This person is responsible for a broad range of duties including, but not limited to: subject enrollment (e.g., screening potential candidates, obtaining relevant records), scheduling clinical research visits in accordance with study timelines and requirements, collecting adverse events and toxicities, data entry, communications regarding clinical research update.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of GCP and ICH Guidelines and ability to follow established regulations, procedures, and protocol; strong computer skills; demonstrated ability to gather data and document procedures; demonstrated ability to pan work and coordinate multiple projects; demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing.Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience preferred. Oncology and/or chemotherapy experience or an oncology unit or in an oncology clinic is preferred. CCRP or ACRP preferred.Stimulus/ARRA Funded:
