Application DeadlineOpen Until Filled Full Time/Part TimeFull Time, Benefit-Eligible Salary$15.29/hour - $20.70/hourJob DescriptionThe Missouri S&T Anny Research and Development Institute is seeking an Engineering Technician II with primary responsibilities in the Advanced Metallic Structures Development and Prototyping Center, the Robert V.Wolf Research and Educational Foundry Lab, and other labs within VH McNutt Hall. The Engineering Technician II will work with faculty, students, and lab personnel to obtain and maintain supplies and equipment to aid in the instruction and research needs. This individual should have the ability to apply skills and knowledge in a variety of technical processes, procedures, and systems. They will plan, construct, install. and perform maintenance on technical equipment and industrial equipment, as well as assist in the design of complex parts. Additional job duties include evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic equipment. The ideal candidate will provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or occur frequently and may assist in the development of new technical and/or laboratory techniques. The candidate is also expected to assist in running equipment for research and in the insm1ction of undergraduate and graduate labs. This individual will also assist in giving facility tours to school groups and the public as needed and will supervise student workers in the research and educational labs.Minimum Qualifications- An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination or education and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
- A background in mechanical, manufacturing, and/or electrical systems and equipment maintenance preferred.
