The Department of Family has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Graduate Medical Education Coordinator position.

Position Emphasis

This position provides operational program support to the Graduate Medical Education Programs within the department, including various residency and/or fellowship programs. This includes managing all aspects of the recruitment, onboarding, retention, regulatory compliance and evaluation of postgraduate fellows/interns in the various programs.  This position works collaboratively with the Graduate Medical Education faculty and staff to ensure the success of the programs, including administering program budgets, serving as the point of contact for the GME office and applicants, contributing to the ongoing development, analysis and evaluation of existing and proposed educational programs within the department and facilitating regulatory compliance activities. Finally, the position provides administrative support to the Vice Chair and Associate Vice Chairs of Education.

Salary and Benefits:

Hiring range starts at $43,064. We plan to fill this between $50-60K depending on experience to maintain equity with our other GME Coordinators.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

 

A bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of professional level experience working in an institution of higher education supporting graduate medical education or medical student education.

 

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

 

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Familiarity with ACGME and ABAM requirements.
  • Experience working in university-based family medicine graduate medical education.
  • Expertise with ERAS, NRMP and MedHub highly preferred.
