Responsibilities

Positions within this job code must meet the requirements for the FLSA Administrative exemption based upon salary and documented job responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating a specific academic program, project, or service to include planning, evaluation, and implementation

May recommend the establishment or revision of policies & procedures

Establishes and maintains close liaison with University academic departments to ensure coordination of effort and exchange of information

May process admission, graduation checks, and generate course schedules for specific degree programs

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience (Note: or a post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)

Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Ability to interpret academic program requirements and provide advice.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Knowledge of principles and practices of academic program planning, development, and evaluation.

Ability to utilize problem solving skills.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Knowledge of academic resources available to students.

Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations

Soft Money Funded Position

This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
