Department Summary:

The Department of Teacher Education and Administration (TE&A) in the College of Education at The University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for an hourly research assistant beginning June 1, 2021. This is a non-student,hourly position. Of particular interest to the College of Education are candidates who are committed to improving people’s lives through powerful learning, social-emotional wellness, physical health, civic engagement, and anti-racist education.

Position Summary:

The Department of Teacher Education and Administration seeks to hire qualified hourly, non-student research assistants.

Duties may include: Conduct literature reviews; participate in data collection and analysis (following all protocols); prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations; prepare materials for IRB review; maintain accurate records of data collection; attend project meetings as necessary; prepare progress reports; prepare research reports for dissemination; oversee the work of undergraduate research assistants; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction or Educational Leadership or a closely related field; prior experiences working as a research assistant.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with data analysis (especially data considered qualitative in nature), classroom teaching experience

Work Schedule:

M-F, 8-5pm, hours negotiable but must be available for weekly team meetings.
