Business Design is Rotman’s approach to learning and acting in innovative ways using human-centered design methods. It allows current and future leaders to learn about what both customers need and stakeholders want. Rotman’s Business Design Initiative (BDI) aims to advance innovation learning and practice so that students, researchers, and industry professionals can successfully tackle real-world business challenges.

Under the supervision of the BDI’s Associate Director, the incumbent will support the centre’s education, research and community building activities, assisting with the preparation of course materials and case studies, co-facilitate MBA workshops, support research projects and co-ordinate BDI events.


Qualifications:

Education:
Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in a client-facing role.
Demonstrated experience with managing external stakeholders.
Direct experience with data gathering, analysis and documentation.
Demonstrated experience with facilitating Business Design workshops.


Skills:
A strong analytical and strategic thinker.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to advocate and communicate ideas.
Project planning and evaluation skills.
Strong interpersonal and management skills.

Other:
Familiarity with Rotman Business Design Methodology will be an asset.
Understanding of university organizations and culture.
Commitment and meaningful experience with the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Support to build a student-centered experience and campus community inclusive of BDI’s broad mandate.

This is a one (1) year term position.
