The Technology Service Center (TSC) Technician provides technical support across campus. This includes providing support to both students and staff, windows computers, Mac OS, Television systems, various classroom technology, and audio-visual equipment. During campus events the TSC Technician also assists with technology operations. The TSC Technician also provides support during the employee onboarding process by preparing and deploying new equipment.
- Respond to technical questions by phone, email requests, tickets and users dropping in at the Technology Service Center;
- Troubleshooting technical questions and enter tickets for any tickets that cannot be resolved;
- Collect all pertinent information required by tier III to handle escalated tickets;
- Support classroom and computer lab technology;
- Set up and support technology during campus events;
- Set up and deploy new equipment;
- Keep workstations up-to-date and working effectively;
- Continuously strive to learn and broaden technical expertise in all areas supported;
- Flexibility in work schedules is required for occasional weekend and evening work.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, required;
- COVID-19 Vaccination, required;
- 2 or more years of relevant work experience, preferred;
- Experience in a technical support role, preferred;
- Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows, preferred;
- Basic knowledge of networking, required;
- A+ Certification, preferred;
- Mac OS experience, preferred;
- Customer service and time management skills, required;
- Knowledge of Audio-Visual equipment, preferred.
