Advertised Job Summary:

The employee works in the Office of Compliance and Professional Standards (OCPS) and
provides technical and professional services pertaining to the national law enforcement and communications accreditation programs. Under the overall direction
of the OCPS Captain, this position is responsible for policy development and for
providing expert guidance on accreditation processes and proofs of compliance.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):

Master’s degree and 1 year related program experience, or bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the coordination and/or management of accreditation programs of
the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Familiarity with applicable accreditation standards, and relevant laws, rules, and
regulations. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
