Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Visiting Instructor, Davie, FL.

This Instructor position is a 9-month faculty line. The teaching load is typically 4 course sections for each Fall and Spring semester; assignments are based on qualifications and experience. This position will be primarily teaching didactic courses as well as supervising students at clinical sites for the College of Nursing’s 2nd Degree BSN program, Davie campus. All new faculty have a mentorship team that guides his/her clinical practice scholarship and teaching activities during the first year at the College. Our research includes caring-related initiatives that address areas such as healthy aging, complementary therapies, health disparities, and transforming nursing practice environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates for this position should have a minimum of an MSN, or doctorate from an accredited institution in nursing (PhD, DNS, or DNP) or a related field by time of application; and must be eligible for RN licensure in the state of Florida.

Graduate education/experience in a focused area of practice is required.

Candidate must have a Medical-Surgical background and be able to facilitate Fundamentals, Health Assessment, and Simulation labs; applicant may be required to facilitate clinical experiences, as needed.

Availability to work weekends and some evenings required.

Prior to appointment, the candidate must submit official, sealed transcripts from all institutions where graduate coursework was attempted, whether or not a degree was obtained, as well as an original NACES evaluation, if applicable. Transcripts must be issued to Florida Atlantic University not to you as the student.
