Position Information: Description

This position will assist in supporting staff, faculty and students at UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences. As a member of the Information Resources team, this position will work one-on-one, either remotely or in-person to provide assistance with a wide range of technology and services.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with deployment of computer operating system images
  • Assist with transferring data and applications to updated computers
  • Assist with installation of software packages, patches, printers, and other objects
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop operating systems, network drivers, protocols, and other clients
  • Assist with maintenance of public, classroom and conference room computers
  • Research and assure compatibility of new and existing equipment and software
  • Assist with support for video conferencing and digital displays
  • Troubleshoot issues to resolution
  • Consult, provide recommendations and assist with purchasing of software, computers, printers and other devices
  • Maintain current knowledge with Windows operating systems, Active Directory and O365.
  • Assist with providing security
  • Assist with training users, coworkers and student employees, including creation of training and documentation materials
  • Provide support to remote users, campuses and clinics

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • 2 years experience providing IT desktop setup, troubleshooting, and information technology support
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 setup and use
  • Experience with Windows desktop operating systems
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful completion of criminal history records check

  • Experience presenting and training via webinar, classroom, one-on-one
  • Experience with OS X and iOS 
  • Experience with Linux 
Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

$45,000/annual, Full time, Benefitted

Work Schedule/Start Date

Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm/July 1, 2021. Occasional travel within North Dakota.
