Job Description

The department of Psychiatry within the School of Medicine is pleased to announce the recruitment for a Program/Project Coordinator II at the CNS Core Facility & Health Neuroscience Center research laboratory.

This position provides liaison between research staff, Research Laboratory Manager, Principal Investigator and study participants in a clinical research setting. This position will supervisor staff and oversee day-to-day protocol operation to ensure compliance with research protocols.

Research Specialists, Technicians and Protocol Service Coordinators directly report to this position. This position may also extensively research and market to identify and recruit study participants; evaluate potential recruitment outlets and strategies based on research criteria. This position reports directly to the Research Lab Manager and indirectly to the PI/Director of the CNS Core & Heath Neuroscience Center.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Provide supervision, training and guidance for other research lab personnel on the routine day-to-day protocol operations. Perform quality control audits, preliminary data analysis and generate scientific reports.
May also extensively research and recruit suitable patient populations for participation in PI funded studies. Screening potential study participants for eligibility. Scheduling visits with participants and conducting tests not limited to the use of behavioral and cognitive neuroscience techniques (e.g. fMRI, TMS) in the context of clinical trials and in accordance with the study protocol

Compiles data and computes results of recruiting efforts, ensuring quality control and compliance with protocol, and provides initial analyses of results to researchers; makes substantive suggestions for improvements in techniques and interpretation, as appropriate. Reviews outcomes and patient populations to refine and evaluate success of marketing efforts.

Prepare and use advertising material for and recruitment of study participants. May guide or train staff/students employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation. May serve as a back up to the Protocol Coordinators and/or Research Specialist.

Provide administrative support activities as needed to the PI and other CORE personnel as needed. General correspondence, data management, tracking and reporting.


Salary Range: $19.47 - $35.28/hour

Grade: GGS-009

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
