Job Description

Improvement Consultant for the Heart of MO- RPDC's District Continuous Improvement Program

This position will support District Continuous Improvement (DCI) through collaboration within a state system of support to advance and sustain a district-wide focus on an identified set of effective educational practices and increase the use of technologies to support implementation of professional development. Actively support the effective implementation of the District Continuous Improvement process to promote:
• Internal capacity building for sustainability; and
• Fidelity of district practice to MMD expectations

This position is specifically intended to provide support at the district leadership and building leadership team levels. It is the expectation that personnel filling this position have a thorough knowledge of the content required in their position, demonstrate a high level of aptitude for participating in and guiding team practices and processes, and are skilled in delivery of high-quality professional development coaching with adult learners. This position also requires a working knowledge of technology for use in virtual coaching sessions.

Knowledge and skill requirements: This position requires some knowledge of:
• Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS)
• Professional Learning Communities (PLC)
• Response to Intervention (RTI)
• Missouri Learning Standards
• Missouri Model Curriculum
• Missouri Educator Standards and Quality Indicators
• Essential Principles of Effective Evaluation
• Implementation and scaling up theory/practice
• Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP)
• Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)

Develop training materials and curriculum.

Create and complete reports/assessments of progress.

Other duties as assigned by the Heart of MO-RPDC's Director.

Salary

Salary: $50,000 annual as supported by grant funding

GGS Grade: 10

University Title: ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR PROGRAM/PROJECT OPERATIONS

Shift

Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants will be considered based on preferred qualification:

Master’s Degree in Education

At least five (5) years of teaching experience and building or district leadership experience is preferred.

Experience in development of training materials; leading trainings for professionals; problem-solving; collaboration with work-related colleagues; presentations to professionals; and collaboration with colleagues from other related disciplines.
