Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Coordinator for Professional Services serves as the Administrative Associate for undergraduate admissions services and other duties working through the Associate Dean’s office.

Duties include receiving and documenting all inquiries and concerns from prospective applicants. This includes meeting with students about the admission process and maintain records of all new candidates. Other duties include but are not limited to:
•Facilitates recruitment and enrollment by presenting to undergraduate courses the requirements for admissions
•Maintain TEA rules throughout the admission process
•Utilize various computer software programs for student registration, tracking, and communication
•Audit undergraduate transcripts and student files to verify admission requirements have been met (i.e., calculating GPAs, verifying coursework, verifying TSI standards, performing criminal background checks)
•Remove holds and register students for courses in Teacher Education
•Organize scholarship meetings
•Coordinate faculty and tenure promotion process
•Maintain updates on the undergraduate admissions website
•Coordinate meeting room schedules for Professional Services and maintains records
•Acts as the liaison for student grievance, grade appeal, or other issues on the college level
•Prepare travel documents and expense reports
•Organizes all university award deadlines and appropriate college committee communications
•Facilitates undergraduate scholarship committee meetings
•Organizes Educator Preparation Advisory Board meetings
•Provide administrative support to the Office of Professional Services, including screening and handling telephone calls, greeting and directing visitor, scheduling meetings, dealing with administrative situations and inquiries, and communicating with multiple groups and demands

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree is required along with three to four years of progressively responsible secretarial/administrative support experience (or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved).
