Position Description:
The UCLA School of Dentistry was established in 1964 in response to the need for a public school of dentistry in the greater Los Angeles area. Since their inception, the School has focused on achieving and maintaining excellence in four main areas: a comprehensive dental education, cutting-edge research, quality patient care and public service. Over the past five decades, these four main areas of focus, along with the School's dedicated and talented students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends, have propelled the School of Dentistry to being one of the premier dental schools on the national and international stage. The ability to raise funds and provide support for the fundraising efforts of the School enables their continued success and excellence for future generations.

UCLA's School of Dentistry seeks an engaged, focused and goal-oriented Development Coordinator with a high level of initiative and interest in the field of Development. The Development Coordinator will provide direct administrative and donor stewardship support to the development team in the School of Dentistry. This individual will manage the administrative and organizational functions of the Executive Director and will assume duties that include, but are not limited to, development projects, scheduling, management of correspondence, gift processing and support of development special events and meetings. The Development Coordinator will produce printed and electronic communications to external development constituents such as school unit faculty, donors, board members and volunteers and will prepare gift reports for the Department, volunteers, board members and donors. This individual will also coordinate high-priority projects and perform analyses of relevant issues for the Department's review. In addition, the Development Coordinator will have frequent interaction with community leaders, donors, volunteers, faculty and staff on behalf of the School of Dentistry.
