Visiting PT Assistant Professor of Sport Management

Primary Purpose and Essential Functions:
The position requires teaching three classes per academic year (1/2 load) in sport marketing, sport analytics, and in core business marketing. Candidates are expected to participate in marketing activities for the sport management program, and to conduct and publish research in sport management and/or related fields in business according to the expectations of the Eberhardt School of Business.


Minimum Qualifications:
A master’s degree in either sport management or a related business field and two years of university teaching experience in the sport management area.


Preferred Qualifications:
A doctorate in sport management or a related business field and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute a scholarly research plan in the field of sport management or related business area. Experience in the sport management industry and participation in professional organizations are desirable.

Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
Approximately 15 hours per week. Duties include holding class, preparing for class, preparing and grading assignments and exams, meeting with individual students, responding to student email, and holding office hours.
