Minimum Qualifications:

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience troubleshooting Mac and Windows computers. Basic understand of TCP/IP and networking. Experience providing direct technical assistance.

Position Summary:

Provide tier 1 and 2 technical support to staff members of the DRC, as well as tier 2 technical support for students who are registered with the DRC and using provided equipment. Assist in managing user access for the DRC Technology Lab. Perform periodic maintenance on DRC owned technology. Determine when equipment has reached end of life. Stage/configure new equipment. Create documentation as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Strong customer service skills. Strong technical troubleshooting skills. Working within a highly diverse group. Can triage a problem, determine what information is most relevant, and communicate that information clearly when escalating an issue. Familiarity with relevant accessibility standards.

Physical Demands:

Move equipment up to 10 lbs, interact with equipment that is on the ground, reach into tight spaces.
