Adjunct Faculty Position in General Biology
The Natural Sciences Division at Mount Saint Mary College seeks qualified individuals to teach
General Biology lecture and lab, beginning Fall 2021, but also with the possibility of an ongoing
basis. This course is an introduction to the fundamental principles and problems of biology for
the non-science major. Beginning with an introduction to the nature of science, this course will
focus on such topics as ecology, heredity, anatomy and physiology, cell biology and the origin of
life. This course is offered during the traditional 15-week semester schedule.
Qualifications include: A Master’s degree or higher is required in biology or a related field, or
in education. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Applications will be accepted on a
