Description
The Dental Anxiety research group at Temple University is seeking candidates for a part-time (20 hr/wk) Research Associate who will provide support for a clinical trial evaluating the efficacy of an online cognitive-behavioral intervention for dental anxiety (funded by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research).  Specific duties will include administration of the online intervention and conduct of baseline and follow-up diagnostic assessments. Additional duties may include ratings of diagnostic reliability and adherence to protocol; and distribution of e-gift cards to study participants. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field and at least 2 years’ experience in human subject research. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 

 

Required Skills & Abilities:

* Must possess excellent clinical skills and interest in conducting research as part of an interdisciplinary team.

* Must have knowledge and skills in cognitive behavioral therapy

* Must have strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

* Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.

* Must have sound judgments with the ability to make independent decision.

* Ability to work with others as part of a collaborative research team.

 

Preferred:

* Master’s degree in Psychology or related field

* A background in cognitive-behavioral therapy and treatment of anxiety disorders

* Experience with anxiety related research

 

This is a grant funded position.
