- Oversee and administer comprehensive student services for the ICME graduate population by analyzing data, maintaining student records, counseling students and providing recommendations that require interpretation and influence decisions. Make exceptions on issues of eligibility, course enrollment and program requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact on all degree-related matters for students who are enrolled in or interested in the program, ensuring that key information and requirements are clearly communicated and addressing questions as needed.
- Provide advice to students on a range of issues, including, but not limited to, academic progress, academic program policies, career plans, accessibility, community standards, etc., to guide them in making appropriate choices and decisions to apply for graduation.
- Interpret university, school and program policies to determine appropriate course of action for students on nuanced issues of eligibility, enrollment and program requirements.
- Develop recommendations and collaborate with staff, faculty and other offices to resolve programmatic issues within the school and across functional units.
- Supervise and manage the Student Services Officer 1 position. Responsible for the hiring and retaining of the position, career coaching, personal development and accountable for the employee's performance. Ensure work completion within schedule and constraints.
- Resolve multi-dimensional matters in response to students in crisis, at risk, or who have other program issues, counsel students on sensitive and confidential issues.
- Oversee, analyze and implement financial processes and development of budgets related to student funding and financial aid.
- Apprise students of research, fellowship and scholarship opportunities.
- Develop and implement plans for outreach efforts, develop and maintain external community and university liaison, represent the institute and university at meetings and events.
- Oversee and manage student recruitment and selection as part of the admissions process. Serve as a resource for prospective students by answering inquiries about the application process, review and assemble materials, and provide organizational support to the Faculty Admissions Committee.
- Collect and analyze data from multiple sources including student feedback, surveys, trend reports, and data analytics. Prepare and summarize reports and make recommendations to enhance offerings, such as programs and courses and to influence current processes and policies.
- Oversee the planning and execution of student events, such as Admit Weekend, New Student Orientation, Commencement and student social and career events.
- Identify and evaluate data needs, manage the implementation and development of new technology.
- Lead, create and contribute to development of business practices and organizational change to improve processes and workflow.
- A Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience
- An interest in supporting the mission and values of Stanford University within a highly collaborative team
- The ability to take initiative and manage priorities, with variable planning time, in an environment characterized by service-oriented flexibility

- Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Occasionally stand, walk, twist, use fine manipulation, grasp, use a telephone, write by hand, sort and file paperwork, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
