About the Opportunity

The Talent Management Consultant is responsible for performing a broad range of recruitment-related duties for UT System Administration (UTSA) and in partnership with the campuses and institutes.

 This position works closely with all members of the System Human Resources team, carrying out strategic responsibilities in support of the department’s commitment to service, excellence, and identifying top talent. The Talent Management Consultant provides full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt positions to include posting, sourcing, consulting, and developing diverse applicant pools for hiring departments within UTSA. Additionally, the Talent Management Consultant will have responsibility in the areas of learning and development, onboarding, inclusion, diversity and engagement, community outreach, and others.

The Talent Management Consultant supports a culture of engagement and belonging by treating others with dignity and respect at all times, and by exhibiting conduct that reflects a commitment to inclusion, diversity and engagement (IDE.) The Talent Management Consultant respectfully communicates and cooperates with all employees and actively participates in diversity awareness learning and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and eradicate racism in the workplace. The successful candidate is also expected to contribute to the system-wide mission and fully embrace the University’s Be One UT Values.



Qualifications
Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree and related certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) are preferred. A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible professional recruiting experience is required. Recruiting experience in higher education is strongly preferred. Additional preferred qualifications include knowledge of UT policies, procedures, and recruiting processes, executive recruiting experience, and experience using SAP and Taleo.

The Talent Management Consult will possess extensive knowledge and a diverse skillset to include the following requirements:

    Proven experience sourcing candidates and interviewing to identify top talentExperience guiding and facilitating full-cycle searchesDemonstrated experience generating diverse candidate poolsExperience using applicant tracking systems and candidate databasesExperience coordinating job fairs and engaging in community outreach effortsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAdvanced knowledge in Microsoft Office software including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies
