Job Summary

Assist in providing general, campus-wide administration of the hiring, reappointment, promotion, tenure and management of Institute academic and research faculty affairs. This position will interact on a regular basis with: academic and research unit leadership, faculty, staff, vendors, and campus visitors. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Communicate and coordinate with academic and research units, central HR, and campus administrative offices on matters that involve faculty employee procedures and policy.

Job Duty 2 -
Receive, review, and process official transcripts and maintain associated records.

Job Duty 3 -
Maintain filing system and databases for Faculty Affairs related information.

Job Duty 4 -
Assist with the academic faculty relocation process.

Job Duty 5 -
Provide administrative support to the Director of Faculty Affairs.

Job Duty 6 -
Scan, route, enter and/or verify faculty paperwork/information into appropriate databases.

Job Duty 7 -
Compile and prepare data for reports for Faculty Affairs related information.

Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Five to seven years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Advanced skills in document production and management, records management, event management, financial record keeping, problem solving and office organization

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires advanced skills in general office administration, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to interpret and apply Institute and Board of Regents policies and procedures that govern faculty administration. Additional required skills include data entry and verification, and familiarity with specialized computer applications, personnel and student information systems and electronic document management.
