Job Summary Within assigned residence hall, serve as a live-in leader, organizer, coordinator and facilitator of programs and services that encourage positive living experiences for students residing in that facility. Direct programs that assist student residents in connecting with the campus community and their peers in ways that encourage personal and academic growth and development. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: residence hall students, parents, Housing-Residence Life management, and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: students within assigned residence hall. This position will supervise: Student Resident Advisors and/or Peer Leaders.Responsibilities <html><b><u>Job Duty 1 - </u></b>
Implement curriculum for resident student programs that encourage personal development, academic achievement, community living and social interaction.

Perform other duties as assigned
<html><b><u>Job Duty 2 - </u></b>
Provide basic analyzation related to trends to further the educational development plan. Data is collected through surveys and observation.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 3 - </u></b>
Train, evaluate and supervise student staff who work directly with fellow students to implement programs and provide services within the residence hall.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 4 - </u></b>
Advise Hall Counsel by overseeing meetings, participating in training, assisting with social programming, overseeing budget, and meeting individually with executive boards from corresponding hall councils.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 5 - </u></b>
Support the student judicial process by serving as a Hearing Officer.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 6 - </u></b>
Serve on 24 hour Emergency/Crisis on-call rotation throughout the year. Facilitate building walk-throughs with custodial staff and other Housing staff.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 7 - </u></b>
Communicate, interpret and administer Residence Life and Institute policies and procedures to student staff and residents.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 8 - </u></b>
Maintain visibility and availability within residence hall community.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 9 - </u></b>
Provide one-to-one contact, conflict mediation and referral services to student staff and residents.Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications
Position requires ability to perform light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects including their person.
Required Experience
One to two years of job related experience
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree
SKILLS
This job requires skills in student leadership and advising within a university residential life setting. Skills in program development and implementation, communications and dealing with crisis situations are required as is use of office level computer applications.
