The University of Virginia School of Nursing seeks an experienced clinical instructor with a background in pediatric nursing for a part time, tenure-ineligible clinical instructor. The start date of this position is August, 2021.

Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree in Nursing, with two years of previous experience in pediatrics. Candidates must have or be eligible for Licensure in Virginia and will be required to obtain a license by the start date of the position. Preference will be given to applicants with a DNP or PhD in Nursing. Applicants with pediatric certification are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous experience teaching or mentoring in pediatrics is strongly preferred.

Duties include:

  • Direct supervision of students (approximately 20 hrs per week) in a Pediatric clinical environment and simulation center.
  • Serve as advisor for a small number of prelicensure students.

This is a three-year part time 20 hour per week, 12-month appointment.
