Unit Paid Faculty teach additional courses on an as needed basis
The University of Virginia Department of Drama seeks applications to fill part-time, non-renewable, non-tenure track Lecturer positions during the 2021-2022 academic year. Subject areas of particular need include, but are not limited to, dance and public speaking.
Compensation will take the form of wages ($6,000 per course). Anticipated teaching load is 1-2 courses for the academic year.
A terminal degree or ABD in a relevant field is preferred; however, equivalent professional experience will be considered. We seek candidates who have a strong commitment to teaching and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment. Candidates are expected to possess strong interpersonal skills and an interest in engaging undergraduate students. College teaching experience is required.
