Associate Professor Adjunct

The College of Architecture and Planning has an opening for a part-time Associate Professor Adjunct in the Department of Landscape Architecture to teach in the College’s graduate program.  Classes taught may range from three to six credit hours.  The anticipated start date for this position is Fall 2021.

Adjunct faculty status of Professor Adjunct, Associate Professor Adjunct, and Assistant Professor Adjunct is awarded to an individual who previously held the rank of full Professor, Associate, or Assistant at a comparable higher education institution.

Job Responsibilities:
The Associate Professor Adjunct will be hired on a course-by-course basis to teach classes within the Landscape Architecture Department.

  • Salary and Benefits:

    The hiring rate (or budgeted rate) for this position has been established at:

    $5,145 for a 3-credit hour course.

    $7,621 for a 6-credit hour course.

    The above salary rate represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate at the time of posting.

    This part-time appointment is not eligible for group health, life insurance, or retirement benefits.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field, or a terminal degree and expertise in the course content is required.
    • Applicants should have substantive knowledge of the landscape architecture field and/or the subject matter which they will be teaching.
    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Additional preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience, and/or professional registration, and/or a record of professional practice in architecture.
    Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
