The Department of Education and Teacher Preparation seeks dynamic applicants who are interested in working with teacher education faculty as a Temporary Full Time Lecturer of Education in an innovative teacher preparation program at the College of Coastal Georgia. This is an academic year (10-month) appointment with the possibility of renewal. The appointment is expected to begin August 1, 2021. This position will be based at our Brunswick campus. Some teaching online may also be required as well as travel to observe students in their field placements.Essential Duties:
Qualified candidates may teach courses in educational foundations, elementary literacy courses, middle grades/secondary methods courses, and provide supervision of candidates in field experiences.Minimum Qualifications and Training:
Qualifications include education professionals with a terminal degree or a Master’s degree with significant professional experience in educational foundations, elementary education and/or middle grades education, and recent teaching experience and/or administrative experience in the public schools or at the college level.Preferred Qualifications and Training:
Preference will be given to applicants who have expertise in teaching elementary literacy and/or middle school language arts, work cooperatively with others, possess supervisory experience, exhibit a commitment to teacher candidate learning and success, and have a working knowledge of standards based instruction and assessment.Special Instructions to Applicants:
