Job Title:

Student Assistant - Howe Writing Center

Salary/Grade:

$8.90/hr - $9.65/hr

Job Summary:

Work assignments are completed under close supervision.
Procedures are well established.
Employees typically follow well-defined policies and procedures.
Minimal training or prior knowledge of work is required.

Essential Duties:

Greet all visitors to the Howe Center for Writing Excellence.
1. Assist students in making writing center appointments.
2. Connect writers to appropriate HWC consultant at appointment time.
3. Maintain working knowledge of Howe Center for Writing Excellence and Howe Writing Center activities in order to answer questions from faculty and students.
4. Perform opening and closing tasks for the Howe Writing Center.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a Miami student

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with customer service

Special Instructions:
