Essential Job Duties:

Operate and/or drive a variety of trucks and equipment necessary to complete work assignments. Standard trucks or equipment include, but are not limited to agricultural tractors, equipment, dump trucks, trailers, back hoes, excavators, fork lifts, skid steer, snow removal trucks and equipment
Provide high level management and aesthetic quality to the landscape on
campus within a designated campus zone. This position also assists with the annual and
perennial planting activities, mulching, weeding, debris removal, bed preparation,
pruning and sanitation. Additionally, the position may assist with turf related tasks such
as mowing, blowing, edging, trimming. The position serves as a member of the annual
mulching team and provides support for the annual leaf collection crew and inclement
weather response.

Minimum Experience/Education:

Landscape Equipment Operator has the ability to determine the appropriate equipment
needed to perform landscape related maintenance activities including dump trucks, back hoes ,excavators, fork lifts, skid steers, etc. . This may include the
operation of mowers, blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, edgers, and
utility vehicles. The position drives vehicles and trailers, performs debris removal
Installs annuals, perennials, bulbs, trees, and shrubs as instructed by
supervisor. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and reports problems to
supervisor. Coordinate and collaborate with crew and supervisor to ensure work is completed on time and at the
highest standard possible and to ensure customer satisfaction

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:

Prefer CDL with tanker endorsement
Construction equipment operation experience and equipment repair and maintenance experience
Experience with landscaping and grounds maintenance
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds frequently with or without reasonable accommodations
