The School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University is seeking a recent master's graduate to support the MPA program by mentoring MPA1 students to achieve their potential in quantitative core courses related to policy issues. The majority of their time will be devoted to course planning for core quantitative courses, including SPI 507b in the fall term, and possibly 508a/b in the spring. Furthermore, the professional specialist will work with affiliates and collaborators to provide timely managerial and data support for research projects. The successful candidate will seek out, manage datasets, and help organize projects in a timely manner. In addition to a strong quantitative background, the main requirements are enthusiasm for the required subjects, and demonstrated ability and patience to work with students with less math and economics training. The person should also be familiar with Excel, STATA and R. Applicants must apply online at https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/20681 and submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, and contact information for three professional references who will be contacted when moved to the shortlist. Review of applications will begin on July 1, 2021, and will continue until the position is filled. A competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and excellent benefits will be offered. The appointment is for 10 months (August 2021 - May 2022) with the possibility for extension pending satisfactory performance and continued funding. This position is subject to the university's background check policy. We at the School of Public and International Affairs believe that it is vital to cultivate an environment that embraces and promotes diversity, equity and inclusion - fundamental to the success of our education and research mission.
