The incumbent will assist the Working Memory and Plasticity Lab PI with different aspects of federally funded projects that focus on the implementation of cognitive interventions and other related projects. This will include assisting with organization of the research project, participating in data collection, coordinating test sites (at UCI and the University of California, Riverside, the University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and/or the University of Maryland), and working with post-docs, graduate students and investigators, data coding and analyses, as well as training and mentoring undergraduate research assistants. This position is grant funded. Position will terminate when funding runs out or if the terms of the project are not met, funding is expected to run until July 2022. Compensation Range: Hourly: $23.24 Department Website: http://education.uci.edu/ Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Psychology, Education or Cognitive Neuroscience)Excellent oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others and excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to lead a team.Demonstrated ability to organize work, attention to detail, and to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.Demonstrated ability to use a computer and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google forms. Preferred: Experience with (standardized) testing of various populations, e.g., older adults, typically developing children, children with ADHD, as well as younger adults.Knowledge in experiment programming (i.e., Python, R, Matlab, SQL, E-Prime).Experience with running neuroimaging studies and/or neuromodulation studies (e.g., tDCS).Statistics training (including basic hypothesis testing as well as more advanced Frequentist techniques) and skills using R, SPSS, JASP, JMP, SAS, STATA, or equivalent statistics software Special Conditions Required: Have own transportation and be available to visit senior residences or school sites off campus as needed. Special Conditions Preferred: May work some evenings and weekends. Final candidate subject to background check.
