Job Summary:

Perform a variety of general office duties in support of the Academic Achievement Center (AAC) Welcome Desk and Testing Center.

Day and evening positions available.

Day position hours:
Mondays and Thursdays: 8:00 am-4:00 pm
Wednesdays: 8:00 am-12:00 pm

Evening position hours:
Mondays-Thursdays: 4:00 pm-8:00 pm

Essential Functions:

Greet and screen AAC/Testing Center visitors; personally handle routine matters and refer more complex matters to the appropriate staff.

Organize and maintain operational and project data; gather and complete statistical data as requested.

Maintain and supervise AAC/Testing Center equipment with AAC/Testing Center staff and guests.

Perform clerical support activities; prepare and conduct AAC/Testing Center registrations; verify student enrollment; order and maintain office supplies; assist in preparing project communications, social media or promotional materials; prepare and process materials for printing; duplicate, assemble, and distribute materials.

Maintain AAC lab/Testing Center appointment schedules and update student intake throughout the day.

Explain, administer and proctor Accuplacer, Typing, CNA, and LASSI assessments; enter scores in Banner; explain, administer and proctor college make-up exams; organize and distribute completed exams for faculty and staff.

Deliver excellent customer service to all students, staff, and faculty.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

One year of general office experience.

Knowledge of current software applications and Microsoft Office.

Experience in database management.

Ability to interact effectively, courteously, and impartially with diverse populations.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to plan, organize, and manage time.

Desired Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or one-year general office experience in an educational setting.

Experience in Banner database management.

Experience in Academic Support Services.

Work Schedule:

Day and evening positions available.
