POSITION TITLE:  Vice President for Student Services


  • PhD or its equivalent preferably in Student Affairs, Educational Leadership & Administration, Business Administration, or Management.
  • A Master’s degree with 10 years of commensurate experience in Student Affairs, Educational Leadership & Administration, Business Administration, or Management
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word/Excel
  • Advanced experience in budget management, multi-departmental administration, forecasting, conflict resolution
  • Jeanne Clery Act certification and experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism


  • Provide administrative leadership for the Division of Student Affairs, consisting of the departments of Student Activities, Residence Life, Health Services, Counseling Services, Athletics, Security, Student Development, Religious Life and Enrichment, Office of the Dean of Students and Judicial Affairs
  • Serve on the Executive Counsel of the College
  • Develop plans and goals that will assist in the achievement of the President’s priorities
  • Implement new policies and procedures to ensure them most effective and efficient operation of the department
  • Represent the Division of Student Affairs and the College at various functions, both internal and external
  • Supervise the operations of each departments and its director to ensure proper operation procedures are being followed
  • Develop and manage the budget for the Division of Student Services
  • Serve on various committees
  • Coordinate Jarvis Emergency Safety Manual and Disaster Preparedness Plan
  • Serve as the Chief Student Disciplinary Officer for the College
  • Work with other personnel and departments to enhance the overall effectiveness of the College
  • Maintain proper records and files associated with the Division of Student Services
  • Provide reports, policies, and publications as required by the College
  • Other duties as required
