Responsibilities

Manages the day and evening OPS Employees for the service desks in Strozier. Responsible for the coordination of materials, policies, and procedures of Physical and Electronic Course Reserves for University Libraries.

Responsible for the supervision, scheduling, and staffing of all services desks in Strozier Library during the day and evening shifts. Hires, trains, and evaluates
daytime OPS employees for Strozier service desks. Provides patron support regarding circulation issues, customer service issues, and fines resolution of course reserve materials. Works collaboratively with all departments in Access Services and Delivery to cross train full-time and part time staff.

Responsible for the creation of workflows, policies and procedures of the physical and electronic course reserves systems used by staff in Strozier Library. Provides communication between library staff, patrons, faculty throughout the reserves process. Trains library staff on use of library systems for course reserves. Trains staff on policies and procedures used in the course reserve process.

Assists with reference and virtual reference services.

Participates in other Undergraduate Services units' and /or Library promotional activities in order to support the Library. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years.)

Experience working or conducting research in a library setting.

Customer Service experience.

Experience with applicable computer functions to include Microsoft Office.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Ability to utilize problem solving skills.

Preferred

Supervisory experience.

Anticipated Salary Range

Annual salary starts at $27,800, commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

Sunday 10a-6p and Monday-Thursday 8a-5p
