Department Summary:

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions assist oversees the admission applications and status for the University of North Texas at Dallas. Our team assist with Freshman, Transfer, Readmit and Transient students. Overviews with admission process, status, campus tours, and new student orientation.

Position Summary:

The responsibilities and duties of a student assistant include, but not limited to:
•Assist Prospective Students with admission application, status, enrollment process
•Assist on answering phone calls, voicemails, and referral sources
•Assist the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with email responses and prospective student processes and status
•Assist the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with document processing and handling in mail
•Assist the Office of Undergraduate Processing team of handling and processing documents
•Assist and Enter Data Entry and Inventory
•Complete errands, copies, faxes; other duties as assigned
•Assist supervisor and other administrators as needed
•Conduct UNT Dallas Campus Tour as needed
•Assist in Preview Days for UNTD- True Blue and Trailblazer 360
•Actively participate in recruitment and outreach events led by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
•Assist the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with Admission campaigns
•Opportunity to participate in campus photo shoots and marketing campaigns

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled UNT Dallas, UNT Dallas College of Law, HSC or UNT student in good standing and making satisfactory progress toward completion of a degree or certification program. Applicants must possess the following:

•Excellent customer service skills, as well as effective oral and written communication skills.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•Some knowledge of office practices and procedures.
•Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
•Good interpersonal skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural and social backgrounds.
•Responsible, reliable and punctual.
•Ability to learn assigned tasks readily, to adhere to prescribed routines, and to develop some skill in the operation of common office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completed 15 hours of course work toward a bachelor’s degree at UNT Dallas.

Work Schedule:

Monday -Friday and some Saturdays. Flexible depending on academic schedule.
