The University of Florida College of Nursing seeks a visionary nurse scientist to fill the Chamings Professorship in Nursing in adult health research, cancer research, or nursing administration.
The successful candidate will hold an Associate / Full Professor faculty position with tenure in the College of Nursing. The Chamings Professor’s responsibilities are leading interdisciplinary research teams, mentoring students and junior faculty, and maintaining a focused, extramurally funded program of research. The Chamings Professor is expected to have a record of exemplary research, a history of significant federal funding, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring. Other responsibilities include college and university committee service, as well as regional, national and international professional leadership activities. At UF, the resources of a comprehensive university are linked to exceptional clinical facilities with the goal of applying interdisciplinary research efforts to improve health.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: PhD, RN. Meets the rank criteria for Associate / Full Professor.
Pre-Qualified applicants will be eligible for the rank of associate or full professor with tenure, and should demonstrate a history of substantial extramural funding, preferably as principal investigator (PI) or Co-PI on NIH grants. This tenure-line faculty position is a full-time, 12-month appointment.
