Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary

The LBC Assistant Director of Student Organizations is responsible for leading the organization and management of Tulane’s Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) on campus. This position manages multiple processes allowing RSOs to run efficiently including organization chartering, event registration, renewal, planning and implementation of the Student Activities Expo, management of the Student Organization Center and trainings throughout the year for students and advisors. The Assistant Director will supervise the Graduate Assistant for Recognized Student Organizations and the Student Organization Center student staff. This position will also advise Tidal Wave Homecoming Committee. The Assistant Director reports to the LBC Associate Director of Programming. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a non-specified field of study and 1 year of related Student Affairs or relevant experience
OR
  • High school diploma/equivalent and 7 years of related Student Affairs or relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in student personnel, college student development, higher education administration, or related field
  • Experience in a higher education environment
  • Experience in assessment practices
  • Experience working with student organizations
  • Experience supervising student employees
  • Experience with student organization management software systems (i.e. Anthology)
