Summary of Duties:
Responsible for administering data and/or one or more databases in a distributed computing environment. Responsibilities include working with all SFS office areas and partners, analyzing data requirements, designing, developing and administering data models, data dictionaries, and/or databases, performing growth analysis and capacity planning and maintaining day-to-day operations. Assisting users when adding, changing or deleting information in both databases and queries. Develop sustainable reporting models and solutions and build dashboard reports using business intelligence tools for office reporting. Liaison with Enterprise Systems and SFS to support PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and assist in all reporting and support the creation of reports and logs.
A Bachelor’s degree including college level course work in statistics and/or mathematics AND one (1) year of experience working as a Data Consultant 1 or equivalent OR equivalent education/experience.
Experience in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student information Systems, including query writing in PeopleSoft Query Manager, OBIEE data warehouse environment.
Experience in the design and development of complex dimensional structures.
Experience in establishing processes to ensure data integrity and quality.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to understand complex business process requirements and issues.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, and communications within the university and outside agencies.
Experience in WSU systems/ technologies.
