Overview

The Undergraduate Financial Aid Office seeks a motivated individual for the position of Manager, Title IV System & Compliance. This position is a complex administrative job managing Title IV program administration.

The demand of constant federal aid activity throughout the year requires extensive knowledge of federal rules and regulations and the ability to exercise professional judgment when required. The Title IV System & Compliance Manager will also be required to collaborate with colleagues both in the aid office, the Office of the Dean of the College, and Office of Finance and Treasury. Flexibility and adaptability are necessary to keep up with the fast-paced changes in financial aid as well as the needs of the office.



Responsibilities

    Maintains knowledge of current federal aid policies, upcoming regulatory changes, and attends NASFAA and FSA conferences. Responsible for oversight of the federal aid policies and procedures manual, including annual updates and regular process reviewsFunctional oversight of the annual setup and maintenance of the Student Financial Planning (SFP) federal aid processing system, including working with colleagues in OIT and developing/updating of functional business guides as neededWorks with colleagues to review institutional policy as it relates to federal aid guidelines and systemsAssists with audits, surveys, and other federal aid data collection Provides training to staff on federal aid policies and procedures in the federal aid processing systemOversees monthly and yearly reconciliation of financial aid programsResponsible for the federal aid verification processCollaborate with counselors and support R2T4, UFA SAP, Pell, and direct loan processing


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five to seven years’ experience in financial aid with increasing responsibility for federal aid programsExcellent analytical, writing, speaking, and collaborative relationship-building skills
