Under the direction of the Director of Admissions and Recruitment, the Admissions Support Assistant will assist the admissions and recruitment staff with welcoming prospective students and community members entering Building S and visiting the admissions office, assist with on campus recruitment events and preparation and distribution of recruitment materials, assist with onboarding new students, and work closely with the recruitment staff to support the admissions office’s initiatives, programs, assessment, and goals. The Admissions Support Assistant will be dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing skills and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED and a minimum 1 year experience in a work environment requiring close attention to detail required. Associates Degree in related area and experience with Ellucian Colleague is preferred.
A Proficiency test is required for this position and will include basic Word, basic Excel, alpha filing, data entry, and a keyboarding test. Please contact the office of Human Resources to schedule to complete the required software proficiency test as noted below.
The Admissions Support Assistant will greet and welcome prospective students, community members, and current students at the admissions information booth. Act as first of contact to answer general questions, triage, and direct people to appropriate offices; stay current with knowledge and use of MVCC student portal, phone system, and Colleague; support the admissions recruiters to communicate (Communication Management) with prospective and current students via phone or email; bilingual in Spanish or Arabic strongly preferred; plus other duties as assigned.Position Status:

8:30 am to 5:15 pm
Monday – Tuesday
One evening 10:30 am-7:30 pm
