Job Summary

Tour Guides are responsible for facilitating daily tours from the Office of Admissions, conducting group tours for community and school groups, administering record maintenance within our customer relationship management system, serving as program assistants for Admissions events, and supporting the needs of the office by completing special tasks that meet university, office, and program objectives – this may include: special event help, special projects, entering prospect cards, inventory materials, serving as a department liaison, participating in marketing and social media efforts.

Required Qualifications

"- Must have a 2.5 or higher GPA.
- Must be enrolled in courses for the 2020-2021 Academic Year & 2021 – 2022 Academic Year
- Must commit to 1 full academic year if selected.
- Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the university.
- Must be available for fall training retreat the weekend of August 6-7, 2021"

Preferred Qualifications

"Competitive candidates will possess strong skills in communication, public speaking, small group facilitation, and leadership, and developing interpersonal relationships

Candidates should represent the Wolf Experience and be spirited, engaged, and academically successful students."

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

"Superior customer service skills, positive and friendly attitude. Willingness to work cooperatively with others. Ability to handle confidential information with care and ability to prioritize duties. Basic computer skills and knowledge, attentiveness to details, and good organizational skills and initiatives. Assist students with scheduling appointments and provide information on other academic support programs offered for student success.
Be able to lift and carry mail. Take stairs and non-stop work for two-plus hours."

"-Must be able to function on foot for 4 hours at a time.
-Must be able to lift boxes or other materials of at least 30lbs
-Must be available for 3 full work shifts a week.( Tour Guide shifts are M-F, 8:30am-12:00pm-shift 1, and 1:30pm-5:00pm-shift 2) Candidates' ability or inability to meet this condition will be considered in hiring decisions."
