Job Summary

The Student Assistant will provide a variety of clerical duties in the Center such as effective and efficient customer service, assistance to students, faculty, staff, and guests. Serves as receptionist under the direction of the Office Manager; communicates check-in desk needs. Considerable judgment and initiatives in adapting work procedures to new situations are required.

Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled for at least six credit hours or more and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average unless otherwise noted/indicated by the hiring department.

Possess superior customer service skills, positive and friendly attitude. Willingness to work cooperatively with others. Ability to handle confidential information with care and prioritize duties. Knowledge of word processing and basic computer programs and basic office equipment. Ability to type accurately and proofread carefully; attentiveness to detail, efficient organizational skills and initiative. Assist students with scheduling appointments and provide information on other academic support programs offered by the center. Perform related duties as assigned.

Arrive on time for your shift

Ability to work all of your shift

maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA

Keep the center and office organized for guests.
