Position Description:
This position will report to the Research Project Manager and have responsibility for creating online educational courses and supplemental materials for improving safety of individuals working in or entering research laboratories. The Instructional Designer participates as a training, education, or instructional design professional in a multi-intuitional program called Safety Training Consortium (STC). The main responsibility of this position will be, but not limited to; working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to organize and write storyboards, and edit content; propose interactive learning activities; select and assist in development of multimedia content; work with a contracted vendor to create courses; customize courses; test courses to ensure functionality, and adherence to adult learning principles and ADA compliance; maintain records necessary for project development; maintain the STC website; assist with STC budgeting.
