Athletics Ticket Operations

Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Assistant AD for Revenue Generation & Ticket Operations is responsible for administering and supervising all aspects of the Athletics Ticket Office under the direct supervision of the Associate Athletic Director- Business & Resource Operations, collaborating with external relations and revenue generation team to maximize revenue for the Athletics Department.

Responsibilities & Duties
• Manage all aspects of season ticket process, individual and group single-game sales, pass lists, will call etc. for Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball & Football, including but not limited to maintenance of annual renewal timelines, determination of pricing, establishing mini-plans, developing group sales strategies, etc.
• Coordinate with Assistant AD-Operations on future Olympic Sport single-game sales
• Maintain knowledge of NCAA & OVC ticketing legislation, compliance and procedures
• Administer annual ticket office budget within allocated resources
• Serve as primary liaison with TicketMaster (or Archtics), maximizing athletics department’s use/capabilities, administering Priority Points calculation/reports, etc.
• Train direct reports on the Ticketmaster and Archtics systems as needed.
• Lead department in design and acquisition of all ticket stock
• Develop comprehensive historical attendance summary, along with a single-game formula for consistent use at all ticketed events.
• Develop and lead department’s customer relations program
• Train and supervise all full­ and part-time ticket office staff for appropriate gameday duties
• Order, maintain and secure all change funds for ticket sales.
• Organize and provide detailed ticketing reports for annual NCAA Audit in coordination with Associate AD-Business & Resource Operations
• Manage all aspects of any ticketed external events in coordination with the Assistant AD for Operations and Associate AD for Business and Resource Operations

Business Operations
• At the direction of the Associate AD-Business & Resource Operations and the athletics business office, process all athletic donations, record and deposit all ticket purchases, daily reconciliation of all, sales/deposits/transfers for all athletics sponsored/managed events, prepare necessary summary/reports for auditors, complimentary ticket inventory and reconciliation forms, lead/process all multi­ media rights contracts/collections efforts

• In coordination with Director of Development, assist with all aspects of departmental fundraising, including but not limited to, management of Priority Points System, preparation of lists, ticketing and on­site support for donor/special events, order/distribution of donor gifts, maintaining a book of donors with whom to cultivate
• Accept and process RSVP’s/deposits for special events (50-yard line dinner, Hoopalooza, Hall of fame, M Club Breakfast and other banquets).
• Lead department-wide correspondence efforts and mailing initiatives with past/current/prospective season-ticket holders and donors
• Work in coordination with University Development Office on special projects and initiatives.

Revenue Generation/Sales
• Serve on Revenue Generation Committee, meeting regularly in effort to advance department-wide revenue initiatives

• Prepare all sales, donor and other reports as requested
• In coordination with the Assistant AD-Operations, coordinate all ticket sales personnel and ticketing related event management logistics pre-event and work on-site at home­events as directed by the Associate AD-Business & Resource Operations
• Administer and maintain all technology (computers, scanners, etc.)
• Assist in any external relations/revenue generation/development or athletic function as requested by the Director of Athletics or the Associate AD­ Business/Resource Operations
• Other duties as assigned.

• As a member of the Murray State University Athletic Department, you shall comply with all applicable NCAA rules and regulations as provided in the NCAA Division I Manual. If you are found in violation of NCAA regulations, you shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination of employment for significant or repetitive violations.

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

• One year of related experience required.
• Ability to work well with students, faculty, community, and media.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Ticketmaster and Archtics.

Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

• Master’s degree preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to walk and/or stand for lengthy periods.

Work Hours:

• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed per event schedule.
